Christmas is a special time of year and, together, we need to ensure that each child, woman and man has a Christmas meal. We provide each family with a food basket that contains a 14lb turkey, 10lb bag of potatoes, canned vegetables, fruit, sugar, cranberry sauce, stuffing, bread, cereal, candy, and a gospel tract.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of the volunteers, churches, employees, individuals, organizations and companies that contributed their time, finances, food donations, and most of all, their prayers to make this Christmas Basket Program a success.

We are pleased to announce that through the donations of money and food collections from so many groups and individuals, we were able to distribute 1,240 Christmas food baskets this past Christmas (2015) to homes in need which supplied food for 3,100 families.  That is a dollar value of $111,600.

Thank you to each of you that had anything to do with helping us provide for so many at Christmas.

Applications for the 2017 Christmas Food Basket Program are now available!

Please complete the application by 5:00 p.m. on December 1, 2017.

2017 Christmas Food Basket Instructions

When: Friday, November 17th
Time: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WV Radio Corporation

We work hard to lend a “hand up” to those less fortunate in our community year-round. However we believe Christmas is a special time, and we are asking for your help to make this Christmas season merry for our neighbors in need.

Stop by our 10th annual Circle of Hope on Friday, November 17th from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at West Virginia Radio Corporation (1111 Virginia Street East, Charleston) and help us feed more than 1,300 families this holiday season.

We cannot do this alone. 100% of your donations stays right here in our community and goes directly to our programs. We are challenging everyone to give a little this holiday to help provide a warm meal to those in need.

The food donations that we are in need of are:
– Boxed stuffing
– Canned vegetables
– Canned fruit
– Canned yams
– Baked beans
– Mac & cheese

We truly appreciate food donations. However, through our buying connections, we can make your monetary donations go even further. A $30 donation provides a Christmas basket valued at $90. For every $2 donated, we can provide a warm meal at our Soup Kitchen located on the West Side of Charleston where we are feeding an average of 200 people daily.

Ways to donate:
1. Stop by WV Radio Corporation, Walmart of South Charleston or Walmart of Cross Lanes to drop off donations from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2. Call 304-344-3407 or stop by our office at 1620 7th Avenue, Charleston.
